The OKC Thunder were going for it and OKC Lead Man Scotty Brooks made it no secret that he was going to ride Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant the entire 2nd half. The Clippers looked to be in control in the 2nd half until a late run by OKC to tie the score at the end of three...72-72.
In the 4th it was a host of OKC Players making the plays like Rookie Steven Adams and Vet and former Seattle Supersonic Nick Collison. In the end it was the 2013-14 NBA M.V.P. dba "Fight for Mo" Kevin Durant doing his thing all the way to the tune of 39 points and sixteen boards with Lob City's Pretty Ricky dba Matt Barnes draped all over him most of the night. Westbrook added 19 points and a dozen helpers with Reggie Jackson 14 points and Steven Adams 10 points eleven boards.
The Clips were right there and they just ran up against the NBA M.V.P. in a zone. CP3 was everywhere leading the Clips with 25 points, eleven assists, and seven boards. Game Night w/Blake went 22 points, eight boards, and eight assists but fouled out with a little over a minute remaining. JJ Redick added 16 points but it was Collison and Adams and Jackson making up for OKC's Serge Ibaka who wen t down with an apparent Calf Contusion in the 2nd frame and never came back that was the difference.
OKC's Bench 35 and Clips' Bench 17 as the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year only mustered four points and played only 14 plus minutes and that lack of extra production hurt the Clips in the end. OKC now faces the San Antonio Spurs starting Sunday in the Alamo City and that should be a real good one. Ibaka's Status will be huge for OKC and if he can't go that spells trouble for the Thunder.
