The Pittsburgh Steelers have missed Winning Time in 2012 and 2013. To go along with that Steelers VP of Player Personnel Kevin Colbert and Lead Man Mike Tomlin have missed more than hit on a few picks lately as some of them are slow in developing or didn't develop. Now comes the most important Draft the 2014 NFL Draft where the Steelers made a concerted effort to get young on the Defensive Side of the Wilson Pigskin. The Steelers rarely start Rookies in that complicated 3-4 Zone Blitz Scheme by NFL HOF Dick LeBeau bit there are two that might buck that trend in 2014. Offensively the O-Line might have got its biggest pick up in NFL HOF and former Tennessee Titans Lead Man Mike Munchak.

Now come the Bluedude's Projected 2014 STEELERS Top 22 in NFL Week 1:

On the "O"

QB Big Ben
RB Le'veon Bell
FB Will Johnson
WR Tone 2.0
WR 2 L. Moore
TE Heeeeeeeeeeeatch

LT K. Beachum
LG R. Foster
C Twin 53
RG Puget Sound Bully 66
RT M. Gilbert

The Offense should be able to put up some major points with Big Ben and Company in their 3rd-Year under Coach Haley. Tone 2.0 All-Pro WR Antonio Brown put up 1400 yards plus and 2nd year to be RB Bell is as Versatile as they come. It will be on the O-Line as "Twin 53" Maurkice Pouncey
(Torn ACL in Week 1 2K13 by Friendly Fire) has to stay healthy for one and Munchak's Tutelage will be a god send. The right side of that line is on the clock in 2014 in RG David DeCastro (once deemed the safest pick in the 2012 NFL Draft) and RT Marcus Gilbert. Look for 2nd year WR Markus Wheaton to challenge 2014 Free Agent Pick Up and #2 WR Lance Moore for being #2. Another 2014 Free Agent Pick Up RB/FB LeGarrette Blount dba as the 'Burgh's RV will be huge spelling Bell in 2014 as they stole him right from under the Patriots! A healthy Heeeeeeeeeetah Miller will also be huge for the Offense and Big Ben in those tight situations.

On the "D"

LDE Lil' Ironhead Heyward
NT Cam Thomas
RDE Mr. McLendon

LOLB @SacMan_Jones29
LILB Ryan Shazier
RILB LAWdawg 94
ROLB My Worilds

LCB Cortez Allen
SS #43
FS Mike Mitchell
RCB Ike Swaggin' U

Nickel CB Will Gay

The "D" will be better in 2014 because they will be better upfront. Lil' Ironhead DE Cameron Heyward came on like gangbusters in 2013 and he looks the part. 2014 Free Agent Pick Uo NT/DE Cam Thomas of the Bolts was a nice and quiet pick up that should pay big dividends as he can play both positions upfront. Steve McLendon might be better suited as a DE than playing inside and then there is 2014 2nd rounder Stephon Tuitt of the Fighting Irish "ND". He has some Julius Peepers in him and even some of that "Nascar Package" Bookends of J.P.P. and former G-Men DE Osi Umenyiora. He could challenge McLendon for that RDE Slot in Week 1.

The Backers will be really fast and furious as LawDawg Timmons is the leader there. Can Jarvis Jones recover from a below average Rookie campaign as he needs to get stronger? Will 2nd year Backer Vince Williams hold down that LILB Slot or is 2014 #1 Pick Ryan Shazier too much of a Playmaker to keep on the sideline? Jason Worilds gets the Transition Tag at $9.75 million for 2014 and if he can duplicate that last eight games of 2013 and ditto that for 16 in 2014...Steelers will pay him! Watch Out for Backer Arthur Moats at both Inside Positions and even Shazier playing some Outside in Situations.

The Secondary might have gotten the biggest upgrade landing Pro-Bowl Safety Mike Mitchell of the #BackInBlack Carolina Panthers. Mitchell gives the Steelers that Center fielder as well as a Blitzer and "In the Box" Safety a very versatile and physical Safety. Ike Taylor gets another 16 and he will need help ax Cortez Allen when healthy is the Steelers best CB with William Gay the proposed Nickel Corner.

STEELERS 2014 Outlook

If everything goes as planned the Steelers should win the AFC North and be a factor in the AFC in the "Fight 4 Vince" as three straight season of missing "Winning Time" is not in Tomlin, Colbert, or the Steelers Cards for 2014...that would be unacceptable!
