The New York Yanks had to thinking White Sox Ace and All-Star LHP Chris Sale was coming off the D.L. and he might be primed for the picking. What they found out was Sale was locked in and determined not to let his Teammates or Chi-Sox Nation down in his 1st game back.

The White Sox edged the Yanks 3-2 but not after some unexpected or expected turbulence in the 9th as Sale was back to his dominant self. Sale went six and struck out ten Yankees allowing one hit. His outing was backed up by Alejandro De Aza Two-Bagger scoring Paulie Konerko and an Adam Eaton  run-scoring single all in the 2nd frame. The Chi-Sox added more insurance on an Adam Dunn Single scoring Gordon Beckham in the bottom of the 8th.

The Sox Pen and Pale Hose Captain Save-A-Game Ronald Belisario gave up two run sand two hits in the 9th before getting Yankees OF Alfonso Soriano out on Strikes. The Yanks Starter David Phelps went seven allowing six hits and two runs striking out eight. Mark Teixeira singled home both Ichiro Suzuki and Derek Jeter in the 9th for the Yanks two runs.

The Pale Hose move to 24-25 while the Yanks fall to 24-22 winning the 1st game of a four-piece on the South Side!
