The New York Mets win the series as they get a more than a solid outing from Vet RHP Bartolo Colon. Colon had the Bucs Hitters mesmerized as he isn't that mid-90s above 90 MPH Flame Thrower he once was for the Tribe anymore. He is a Pitcher working around hitters and changing speeds and locations often.

Colon gets the "W" going 7 1/3 innings as he allowed not a run and five hits walking just one Bucs Hitter while striking out nine! Both Amazins' players David Wright and Lucas Duda supplied the Offense. Wright singled in a run and took Pirates Starter Charlie Morton deep for a Solo Blast in the 6th. Duda took Pirates Bryan Morris for a Two-Run Big Fly in the 8th as that capped the Mets scoring at five for a 5-0 win.

Back to Morton the Bucs Starter as he falls to 1-7 in 2014 went 5 1/3 innings allowing three runs on four hits while he walked four and struck out four. He also has the David Wright Solo Shot on his Tab. Both "El Toro" Pedro Alavrez and Andrew "Cutch 22" McCutchen led the Bucs with two hits apiece as they stranded  a dozen.
