For the love of the Mark Messier's and Brian Leetch's of the 1994 Lord Stanley Cup Winning Blue Shirts the Rangers strike exactly twenty years later. It was a Dominic Moore of the Blue Shirts Snap Shot in the 2nd frame with just under two minutes remaining that get the Rangers to the Cup Final.
The Canadiens had few chances as they only could muster some 18 Shots on Goal with Lundqvist stopping all 18 anyway he could. The Habs young 24-year -Old Net Minder Dustin Tokarski showed more than his worth as the young man played lights put and arguably played better than Lundqvist in most 4 of the six games. He stopped all 32 shots but one and if you would have told me before the tilt that Tokarski will be 31 of 32 in Net (stopping 5 of 5 on the Power Play)...I would have said Game 7 back in the Bell Centre is Saturday May 31st.
Six Penalties in the game with the Habs getting four of them as the Blue Shirts were 0 for 4 on the Power Play. The Habs were 0 for 2 on the Power Play as they just did not put enough Frozen Ones on net. P.K. Subban had four shots and Max Pacioretty had three shots for the Habs. Derick Brassard and Mats Zuccarello had five shots each for the Blue Shirts as they will start the Lord Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday June 4th with both the Indian Head or Monarchs having Home Ice.
The Habs vs Broadway Bullies has been another "Original 6" Classic Playoff Get Down...
360 Degrees ...Most Ice Game Analyst picked he Spokes of Boston to handle thew East and be in the Cup Final so kudos to the Habs for beating them and the Blue Shirts coming back on the 2nd favorite Team Happy Feet...the Pittsburgh Penguins!
