The Kansas City Royals lit up Sox Starter Scott Carroll for six runs on nine hits through four innings including a five -run 1st inning. The 2013 Pale Hose would have asked for the check and headed over to grab some of the US Famous K.C. BBQ but not the 2014 Pale Hose.

Behind the "Cuban Missile" Sox Shortstop Alexei Ramirez Three-Run Blast and a 2 for 5 night including four Ribbies the Sox come all the way back on Royals suspect pitching. Dayan Viciedo goes Solo Shot in the 4th to make it 5-4 Royals only to see the Royals as one in the bottom half of the 4th to make it 6-4 Royals. K.C First Baseman Eric Hosmer led that Royals Attack going 2 for 4 with Three Ribbies and a run scored.

It was Paulie Konerko's Two-Run Blast for the Chi-Sox in the top half of the 5th and another run that chased Royals Starter Jason Vargas to give the Sox a 7-6 lead at the end of  five innings. That score would hold up as both Pens worked the rest of the way not giving up a run. Vargas went 4 2/3 innings giving up seven runs on eight hits walking two and striking out ix. He was also charged for giving up those three bombs.

Sox Captain Save-A-Game Jake Petricka gets the save his 1st of 2014.  Sox move to 22-24 while the Royals fall to 22-22 as they both chase the AL Central leading Detroit Tigers!
