The L.A Dodgers are trying to right the ship as they were just 23-22 coming in and that was good for 3rd in the NL West and five games back of San Fran Hardball. The Amazins' at 20-22 and at the bottom of the NL East by just 4.5 games have been better than most thought they would at this point.

Dodger Starer Josh Beckett didn't have a particularly good pouting but what he got was that Dodgers Order living up to some of its billing. LAD First Baseman "A-Gon" Adrian Gonzalez went Two-Run HR in a Five-Run 5th Inning that was pivotal in the Dodgers 9-4 win. Yasiel Puig led Dodger Blue going 3 for 4 with two runs scored and hitting .333 in 2014. The Dodgers added another run in the 6th and led 6-1 only for Beckett to give up two Bombs in the bottom half of the 6th. Mets OF Curtis Granderson went Solo HR and First Baseman Lucas Duda went Two-Run Blast to cut that lead to 6-4. Beckett went five giving up four runs on eight hits.

The Dodgers tacked on three more runs in the late innings to post the "W" as Mets Starter Rafael Montero went just 4 1/3 innings giving up five runs on seven hits while he walked four and struck out four. The Dodgers move to 24-22 and the Mets fall to 20-24...
