The Chicago Cubs just an hour north of Wrigley Field at Miller Park dba "Wrigley of the North" pounded the Brewers on Saturday Night. Cubbies Starter Jason Hammel was on his game pitching seven shutout innings scattering just four hits and striking out eight and didn't hand out not one free pass.

The North Siders Offensive Explosion came from First Baseman Anthony Rizzo as he went Two-Run "Big Fly" x 2 taking Brewers Starter Wily Peralta for both Bombs. Rizzo was 2 for 4 with four ribbies and two runs scored. Joining Rizzo was Emilio Bonafacio who was the only other Cub with two hits as he scored a run.

Back to Brew Crew's Starter Peralta his line was 5 2/3 innings allowing six runs on five hits as he walked two and struck out five Cubs. Brewers Second Baseman Scooter Gennett led the Brewers with two hit going 2 for 3 on the day.

Cubbies still have major work to do as they move to 20-33. The Brewers fall to 33-23 and lead the NL Central over the Redbirds by three games.
