The Captain in his last game in Chicago against the White Sox and the Cubs (Yanks split Two-Game Series vs Cubs on this past Tuesday/Hump Day) for the fact of the matter puts on a hitting clinic as he compiles four hits in five appearances at the dish.  He knocks in two and scores one as only Captain can. That was plenty for Yankees RHP and Japanese Import Masahiro Tanaka.

Tanaka was on his game after losing to the North Siders for his 1st loss in two years dating back to Japan Hardball. He went 6 2/3 innings giving up a run on five hits while he struck out six and walked two. The Yanks jumped on then 4-0 Sox Starter Andre Rienzo for five runs on seven hits as he walked two and struck out seven. Sox Hot Corner Coner Gillaspie went 2 for 4 knocking in the only run for the Sox.

The Yanks leave the 312 at 25-23 tied with the Charm City O's for 2nd place in the AL East behind the First Place 'Jays. The Sox winning the first two of the four-piece falls to 25-26 and in 4th place in the AL East 5.5 games off the Central Leading Motor City Kitties!
