The Chicago Blackhawks took care of Business last Sunday beating the L.A. Kings 3-1 but not after the Kings subtle adjustments were very noticeable through the 2nd and 3rd periods of Game 1. The Kings took away the middle of the Ice for the Hawks and also bunched up at the Blue Line taking way the Hawks Speed. Game 2 should bring us even more adjustments as the one adjustment that can't be taken away is the Net Minders Play.
The Indian Head's Corey Crawford dba "Craw-Dad" has been money in these Playoffs with a sparkling 9-4 W-L as he leads the "Fight 4 Lord Stanley" with a 1.90 GAA and 2nd with a .933 Save Percentage. He has been the unsung hero for the Hawks and his play in Game 1 stopping an onslaught of Kings Shots were critical .
Kings Net Minder Jonathan Quick who gets all the ink win or lose as he is no doubt the baddest dude in the "Blue Paint" in Ice Games has been above average but hasn't really caught a Quick-Like Run. It has to be on the Monarchs Minds that he has been in back to back seven game series and maybe he needs a rest? He is not in the Top 5 in either GAA or Save Percentage.
The Top Lines will most likely decide this one as the Men wearing "Big Boy" Pants have to shine. For the Kings names like Anze Kopitar, Marian Gaborik, Justin Williams, and Drew Doughty. For the Indian Head Captain Serious, the "Bison City Mullet", Boss Hoss 81, Brooksie, D.K., and the Hawks favorite Permanent Marker "Sharpie #10". Game 2 should be filled with enbergy as we have had a 72 hour plus break between tilts!
