Jaime Garcia goes 5 2/3 innings and gets that Redbirds Offense behind him to grab win #1 in 2014. The Redbirds even the series up as the Red Legs Starter Tony Cingrani takes the Loss.

It was the Redbirds in Inning One after a Matt Carpenter Two-Bagger Matt Holliday singled him in to make it 1-0. Then in the Top of the 4th Cards Back Stop Yadier Molina went Solo Job of Cingrani to make it 2-0 Cards. The Red Legs got on the board in the 5th on a Zach Cozart single scoring Brayan Pena. With the scorer just 20-1 Cards tack on two more in the 6th to move up 4-1. The Red Legs get one back in the  bottom of the 6th on a @DatDudeBP Brandon Phillips Double. Redbirds score twice more in the 8th to make it 6-2 as the Reds scored once more in the 9th to make the final 6-3 Cards.

Garcia making his 1st start of 2014 went 5 2/3 innings giving up two runs on six hits as he struck out seven. Redbirds Captain Save-A-Game Trevor Rosenthal gets his 15th save of 2014. Cingrani takes the "L" going six as the redbird scored four runs on him on seven hits.

The Red Legs fall to 22-25 as the Cards move to 27-22 right on the NL Central leading "Piwowarzy" Tails!
