The Cleveland Indians trying to get out of the AL Central Basement took it right to the Home Team the Charm City Orioles on Saturday. The Tribe also gets a Grade A-Type Outing from Corey Kluber who dominated that O's explosive line up.
Kluber went seven striking out nine O's while, walking just two. He also gave up five hits as the O's Line Up was baffled all game long. The Tribe Offense all got in on the act as they pounded out eleven hits and nine runs for a 9-0 blanking of Charm City Hardball! Tribe 5-Star Back Stop Carlos Santana led with a Two-Run Blast off D's Middle Man Brad Bach. Eight of the nine Tribe Hitters got hits with Michael Bourn, Lonnie Chisenhall, and Yan Gomes each collecting two hits apiece.
O's Starter Ubaldo Jimenez lasted just four innings giving up five runs on four hits while walking five and striking out three. Nelson Cruz was the only O's Hitter with two hits and two of the five hits total. The Tribe moves to 24-26 and the O's fall to 24-23....
