This has been a bad week for Justin Verlander as his Velocity is not the same and his stuff just doesn't seem to have that bite to it. They offered a Contract to 1B Tigers Arm Mad Max Scherzer and he said no for right now. The Tigers have to be careful as Mad Max is their best arm rolling in that rotation right now!

As for "Get Away Day" at sunny Comerica Park in Downtown Motor City the Rangers beat the Tigers 12-4 on Sunday winning three out four. They also outscored Detroit 35-15 including 24 runs to 6 runs in the last two days as the Rangers won Saturday 12-2. Tigers Ace #1 Justin Verlander was lit up again allowing nine runs on eleven hits in just 5 1/3 innings. Surprisingly enough he struck out one Ranger Hitter and that is very troublesome if your part of Tigers Nation.

Rangers Starter Colby Lewis went 5 2/3 innings giving up two runs while walking five. He had trouble in the first two innings as the tigers scored a run each but settled down as the Rangers had put up nine runs when he exited in the 6th. Mitch Moreland (3 for 5 w/ 3 RBI R) and Adrian Beltre (3 for 4 w/2 RBI R) led that Rangers Attack that collected 17 hits also. Both Rajai Davis and Victor Martinez had two hits each to lead the Tigers.

Texas Hardball leaves the "D" at .500 25-25 while the AL Central leading Tigers 28-18 after being 27-12 to start the week (1-6)...ouch!
