A night after Cubs Ace Jeff Samardzija gets his 1st "W" of the 2014 season the Giants get right back to business. San Fran Starter and Vet Tim Hudson of War Eagle Baseball on the Plains (Auburn) went seven innings of shutout Hardball vs the Cubbies. He struck out five while the Cubbies mustered just six hits off "Huddy".
The Giants Offense behind a 2 for 4 with two runs scored by CF Angel Pagan and a 2 for 3 with a run scored by RF "Run Hunter Run" Pence the Giants scored two in the 1st and two in the 5th. Cubs Starter Jake Arrieta went six allowing all four run on his Tab with seven hits as he struck out six Giants hitters. Giants 5-Star Back Stop Buster Posey had two of the four ribbies going 0 for 2.
The #SFGHeadlines moves to 32-19 in the NL West and that is 4.5 games up on the surging 2nd place Dodgers. The North Siders fall to 19-30 and that is 9.5 games back in the NL Central to the "Piwowarzy" of Milwaukee!
