The Game was billed as two of the best on the Junior Circuit as Mad Max Scherzer was going up against Jon Lester. The game had a October-Like Feel to it and in the end Max and the Motor City Kitties Pen was one better than Lester and the Carmines Pen.
Tigers OF Torii Hunter hits a first inning single that scored Ian Kinsler and little did we know that would be the only run in the ball game. Lester settled down to go five giving up four hits while walking three and fanning seven Tigers. Tigers Mad Max Scherzer even better going going six walking four but striking out seven Carmine Hitters. Both Pens went scoreless as well with Tigers Captain Save-A-Game Joe Nathan notching his 11th save of 2014.
The Tigers moving to 25-12 while avoiding trouble in the 4th, 6th, and 7th innings. The Carmines fall to 20-21 as after the first had no real trouble with the Tigers Line Up.
