The Atlanta Hawks had the Indiana Pacers on the Ropes and in their Gymnasium and let them walk through the Peachtree Street Alley unscathed and back to Atlanta Hartsfield International with a "W". Those Hawks Tee's reading "ATL's Pac Man is Back" was the talk in the 404 and would have been a helluva cry for their 2nd round tilt until this happened...
With the Atlanta Hawks leading 84-79 with just over three minutes to go the real Hawks showed up and Buster you had three minutes to hit the exit! The Pacers quickly hit the Phillips Arena WiFi and go into Blue Collar Mode and run off a 16-4 advantage to close out the Hawks an force a Game 7 back in the Circle City.
"X-Man of Ohio" David West the #1 option in Pacers Land USA and has been since Larry Legend signed him a few Summers back led with a team-high 24 points tying him with Paul George's 24. West also added eleven boards and six helpers as he and George carries the Pacers in different spurts throughout the contest. Lance Stephenson added 21 points and grabbed nine boards with George Hill chipping in with 14. The Pacers at least in closing went back to some of that solid "D" that made them the #1 outfit in the Logo through the first 50 or so games.
The Hawks get a game-high 29 points from Jeff Teague as the Pacers need to start running two people at him in the Pick and Roll. Paul Milsap added 16 points and eighteen boars with five helpers with Gwinnett, GA South H.S. Alum Lou Williams with 16 points as the only three Hawks in double figures. Now we head to game 7 on Saturday in Nap Town May 3rd...
