Don;t look now but currently on a 4-game Win Streak as the Miami Marlins start to wreak havoc on the Senior Circuit and NL East at home. Behind a Starting Rotation led by young star Jose Fernandez and perennial All-Star OF Giancarlo Stanton the Marlins have found themselves as they are starting to do good things not big things in the 2014 season.
After beating the "Boys in Blue" from Chavez Ravine last night in the start of a Three-Game Set between the Dodgers/Marlins the Fightin' Fish have something even more important brewing. They are currently as we go to press 13-4 at Marlins Park in 2014 and that is #12 in the Show starting games from your own Clubhouse. Only then "Gigantes" of San Fran and "Rox" of Colorado have the only other double digit wins at home (each have 10) in MLB.
Solid Pitching and an Offense led by Stanton who is 2nd in Bombs on the Senior Circuit with 8 and 1st in Ribbies with 33. Stanton at home has 5 HRs and 26 Ribbies of that 8 and 33 in 2014. Fernandez is a robust 4-1 (2nd in Wins NL) with a poultry 1.59 ERA (3rd in ERA NL) and only second in Strikeouts (55) to Nats Stephen Strasburg (58). The Fish #2 Arm Nathan Eovaldi also has been solid at 2-1 with a 2.58 ERA. Only the Phighitn' Phils have got to Fernandez and that was at Citizens Bank Park in Philly.
It's early but watch those Fightin' Fish in the 305 coming up the rear...
