The Bruins scored in the first frame the only goal as Spokes Nation was thinking with Finland's Rask, Slovakia's Chara, and Canada's Bergeron getting back to business we got this covered. The Montreal Canadiens were hearing none of that as they came right back out after that 1st intermission doing what they did in game 1 to take a 1-0 series lead.
Behind a Mike Weaver slapper just over a minute into frame 2 it was 1-1. Then with just two minutes remaining in frame two Austria's Thomas Vanek strikes with a tip-in to make it 2-1 at the end of two and Spokes Nation hits the Concourse feeling really uneasy about what is unfolding right in front of their "Peepers".
I the 3rd frame this is where it goes from the Habs going home up 2-0 possibly to "Boston Strong". Vanek strikes with a slapper a little over six minutes into the 3rd as the Habs turned the TD Banknorth Garden into the Boston Public Library in a wink on a eye. The Habs last two goals were via the Power Play and that was making the B's pay. Then the flood gates opened after that for the B's as the Spokes hit the Phone Booth and play the rest of the way as "Super Spokes". Dougie Hamilton made it 3-2 Habs as he snap shot midway through three. Patrice Bergeron four minutes later goes wrister as he gets help from that Garden Ice as it started low and hit Habs Net Minder Carey Price top-shelf.
With the score 3-3 not even two minutes after Bergeron's Goal Reilly Smith scored to make it 4-3 Spokes with Milan Lucic scoring on an Empty Netter to make the final score 5-3. The Habs now will go home still with an Home Ice Advantage with Momentum in that Spokes Locker Room. The Spokes escape and they know they cannot keep falling behind to the Habs especially at their place as that might spell gloom and doom!
