The 2011 NFL WILD CARD Round went as expected but a one team put both feet down and caught the DEFENDING Super BOWL Champs off guard and now the SAINTS are going home.

The SAINTS went to SEATTLE for one thing you would think....WIN...and move on......except they forgot to PLAY from start to finish and the SEAHWAKS and QB Matt HASSLEBACK were more than ready for the cause as the SEAHAWKS Offense stepped on the gas and never let up.

SAINTS Coach Sean PAYTON and his staff only have themselves to blame as the SAINTS looked as though they were going to go to Seattle and the HAWKS were going to lay down and give them this one. You have heard it before.....ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY.....in this case....ANY GIVEN SATURDAY.......you can be had...especially in the NFL.

Now the DEFENDING Super Bowl CHAMPS and COACHES have all off-season to think about what happened as they will watch the rest of the PLAYOFFS from New Orleans.

The SEAHAWKS move on now to face the BEARS in a rematch from earlier this season in which the SEAHAWKS won in SOLDIER Field.

The other SATURDAY Game saw the COLTS and JETS Defenses slug it out for 4 quarters in a game that featured a war upfront with the big boys. The JETS used a punishing ground attack and a mix of play action in the 2nd half to get in stride and the COLTS and MANNING used an array of draws and screens along with the vertical game to get loose in the 2nd half as well.

And as one would think it came down to the kicking game and both kickers fared well but Nick Folk hit the game-winner with :02 seconds on the game clock after Colts Kicker Adam VINATEIRI hit what COLTS players and fans thought was the winner with :56 Seconds remaining in the game to put the COLTS up 16-14.

On the ensuing kickoff it was Cornerback Antonio Cromartie who ran the kick back some 50 yards to put the JETS right back close to FOLK'S FG Range and QB Mark SANCHEZ and the JETS ground attack did the rest to get in good enough range for FOLK to put up the FG and a JETS victory 17-16.

AS ESPN College FOOTBALL Analyst REECE DAVIS would say, " YOU MUST BE SOUND IN THE KICKING GAME", and the COLTS let that one get by them and it cost them dearly.

JETS now take on the PATRIOTS after an embarrassing Sunday NIGHT Showing a month or so ago where the PATS just took them to the WOOD SHED and embarrassed them. The JETS might be a different animal this time around though...only time will tell.

The RAVENS used a mix of RAY RICE and TODD HEAP along with QB Joe FLACCO to finally get it rolling in the 2nd half to get by the CHIEFS 30-7. The CHIEFS looked game for a while holding a 7-3 advantage late in the 2nd quarter until the RAVENS RB Ray RICE caught a short pass to put the RAVENS UP 10-7 and they never looked back.

Look the PLAYOFFS or getting to this point is a learning process and Chiefs Coach Todd HALEY knows this. But when your defense is on the field for 80% of the time you will pay sooner or later and the CHIEFS turn the ball over some 6 times....you will not win a game in the NFL PLAYOFFS putting the ball on the ground like that.

HALEY even had IOWA HAWKEYE and WRESTLING Coach ICON DAN GABLE come in an talk to the CHIEFS Friday to try top fire them up. and it worked for about 28 some odd minutes...then reality set in.

The RAVENS now face the STEELERS again in the Next to last SUPER Bowl game of the YEAR at the Big KETCHUP BOTTLE in the 'BURGH Saturday. All these games come down to a FG or a big play all ways at the end of the game. This one should be no different.

A lot of analysts called this one.......The PACKERS will beat the EAGLES and Mike VICK at the LINC.....theirs no doubt about it.

PACK QB Aaron RODGERS used a strong passing game and screen game to offset the BLITZING Eagles on their way to a 21-16 win in PHILLY. The PACKERS Defense used a lot of delayed Blitz packages and for the most part to the legs away from VICK as the EAGLES just could not get efficiency on 3rd down or in the red zone.

ENTER the BEST FG Kicker in the business in EAGLES place kicker David "GREEN" AKERS and the EAGLES won this game.........NO.......He missed from 41 yards and 29 yards to go -6 and the PACK win by 5. And the BLUEDUDE is not blaming AKERS because the EAGLES are not even in the PLAYOFFS without him....but...in the PLAYOFFS everything counts and those 2 missed FG'S were huge.

Now the PACK and Defensive Coordinator Dom CAPERS take their 3-4 Scheme to the BIRDCAGE in ATLANTA to take on the DIRTY BIRDS in which should be a battle of two of the best QB'S in the BIZ in RODGERS and Matty ICE RYAN.
