The NFL PLAYOFFS are here and now it's time to S*** or get off the Pot.A lot of talk has been going on in the last few weeks of who is getting in an who is the favorite.

In the NFC it is wide open....FALCONS have home field advantage throughout but that alone doesn't guarantee you a spot in BIG D for the SUPER BOWL. The BEARS, PACKERS, SAINTS, and EAGLES are legit contenders to the NFC THRONE.

The AFC is a little bit clearer as far as who is the FAVORITE...WHO ELSE?.......the PATRIOTS......But that's from a lot of people in the KNOW at least they think they know. Watchout for the STEELERS and the RAVENS to possibly derail the PATS as they too have home field through out the AFC Playoffs.

Let's breakdown the first 2 games this SATURDAY starting in the Great NORTHWEST.....12th Zone......SEATTLE, WASHINGTON...home to STARBUCKS, MICROSOFT, and the PUGET Sound:

Saturday JANUARY 8, 2011
430PM ET

WHO DAT? NATION @ 12 ZONE: An interesting match-up to say the least. The HAWKS backed up into the PLAYOFFS at a pitiful 7-9, the first NFL to do so since this PLAYOFF Format begin years ago. The SAINTS on the other hand are 11-5 and coming off a home loss to the Up and Coming BUCCANEERS. Since the SEAHAWKS won their divison they will be the home team......C'MON NFL....you need to change this...no way in CRAWFISH should the SAINTS be traveling to the PACIFIC Northwest to play the SEAHAWKS at the HAWKS Record.

STATISCALLY how do they match-up:

Offensive STATS

SAINTS
*Note- In parantheses is NFL Rank among all teams

24 ppg (11th) 372 ypg (6th) 277 ypg PASSING (3rd) 94.9 Rush Ypg (28th)

SEAHAWKS

19.4 ppg (23rd) 297.8 ypg (28th) 208.8 Pass ypg (19th) 89 Rush ypg (31st)

*** Offensively neither one of these teams can run the ball and that will come to head sooner or later as one of them advance to the next round. A MUST is to establish the run game to set up the pass. But the SAINTS have a decided advantage here as they are one of the better passing teams in the PLAYOFFS.

Defensive STATS

SAINTS

19.2 ppg (7th) 306.2 ypg (4th) 193.9 Pass ypg (4th) 112.3 Rush ypg (16th)

SEAHAWKS

25.4 ppg (25th) 368.6 ypg (27th) 249.6 Pass ypg (27th) 118.9 Rush ypg (21st)

*** Again ADVANTAGE to SAINTS....SEAHAWKS are a -6 in points and their pass defense ranks 27th against a Drew Brees led offensive attack. The HAWKS and 12th ZONE have no chance from a statistical standpoint. But that's why they play the game.

the AFC Breakdown in CIRCLE CITY aka NAPTOWN home to the INDY 500, the NCAA Headqaurters, and LUCAS OIL FIELD, Home to the COLTS:

Saturday JANUARY 8, 2011
8PM ET

THE NY Football JETS @ the big PIT STOP in INDY: A rematch of last year's AFC CHAMPIONSHIP Game...Jets COACH REX RYAN knows they left something back there in NAPTOWN and it's theirs for the TAKING. The COLTS were 6-6 and thn came to their own senses and reeled off 4 straight to get in their 9th staright playoffs and to defend their AFC Crown:

Offensive STATS

JETS

22.9 ppg (13th) 351 ypg (11th) 202.6 Pass ypg (22nd) 148.4 Rush ypg (4th)

COLTS

27.2 ppg (4th) 380.8 ypg (4th) 288.1 Pass ypg (1st) 92.7 Rush ypg (29th)

**** COLTS have a decided edge in the PAssing game but the JETS CB DUO of Cromartie and REVIS are at the top so something going to have to give in this area......The COLTS are going to throw the ball that's what they do.....stay tuned. JETS on the other hand are one of the top rushing teams and if thy get ahead they will definately go to the ground game which spells trouble for INDY.

Defensive STATS

JETS

19 ppg (6th) 291.5 ypg (3rd) 200.6 Pass ypg (6th) 90.9 Rush ypg (3rd)

COLTS

24.2 ppg (23rd) 341.6 ypg (20th) 214.6 Pass ypg (14th) 127 Rush ypg (25th)

****JETS clearly have the edge here but the COLTS DEFENSE has been known to rise to the occassion in the PLAYOFFS and they will need a monumental effort vs SANCHEZ and the JETS ground attack. 25th vs the RUN....the COLTS better pick their poison...and stick with it ion this one.
