Nothing else can be said at this point.......It's the PACK vs the Monsters of the Midway for the Halas Trophy and a trip to Dallas Texas to play for the Lombardi Trophy....how fitting is that.

Both teams know each other well and now it will be down to a few simple things: Turnovers, Efficiency in the Red Zone, Who can get the another team off quicker on 3rd downs, and the Kicking Game.

Let's see how the BEARS and PACKERS match up on paper:

January 23, 2011
300PM ET
Soldier Field Chicago, Illinois

Offensive STATS for the Season:

PACKERS
358.1 Total YPG
257.8 Pass YPG
100.4 Rush YPG
24.2 PPG
41.5% 3rd Down Conversion

BEARS
289.4 Total YPG
188.4 Pass YPG
101.0 Rush YPG
20.9 PPG
32.8 3rd Down Conversion

Looking at these STATS you would be quick to assume the PACKERS will blow the BEARS out.....BUT NO SO FAST my BLUEDUDE HEADS.....BEARS won the 1st Matchup in Week 3 the BEARS won 20-17 and the Last Game of the Season in which the PACK had to win to get in the Playoffs the PACK won 10-3 in a Offensive struggle for both teams.

It will come down to the QB Play like it always does.....PACK QB Aaron RODGERS is playing better than any QB in the PLAYOFFS as he has beat the EAGLES and DIRTY BIRDS on their home fields in consecutive weeks. He torched the FALCONS last week putting over 360 yards passing and looked really comfortable.

BEARS QB Jay CUTLER on the other hand had a coming out party of sort to the tune of 270 plus yards passing and no PICKS.....no PICKS...i will say it again....NO PICKS. He and Offensive Coordinator Mike MARTZ have figured it out and it will be up to the PACK'S vaunted 3-4 scheme to slow down the 2nd coming of the Greatest Show in the 'GO....chicaGO....that is.

DEFENSIVE STATS for the Season:

PACKERS
309.1 Total YPG Allowed
194.2 Pass YPG
114.9 Rush YPG
15.0 PPG
36.2% 3rd down conversion

BEARS
314.3 Total YPG Allowed
224.2 Pass YPG
90.1 Rush YPG
17.9 PPG
34.7% 3rd down conversion

Both of these Defenses are in the TOP 5 of Total Defenses and they like to get after the QB. But the key is who stops who from running the football first. The BEARS were 3rd in the NFL against the run and the PACKERS can be run on but their strong suit is the Pass Rush ( CLAY MATTHEWS III OLB) and the Best Secondary in football led by CB Charles WOODSON and SS Nick COLLINS.

The BEARS Strong suit is the Linebackers BRIGGS and URLACHER also the play of one Julius PEPPERS and CB PEANUT TILLMAN. The BEARS and Lovie SMITH have tweaked that TAMPA 2 Coverage they run into a more 2011 Hybrid Version and Rodgers has had trouble with this Defense all Season as they take away the Huge Down field Plays that Rodgers and his Wide outs are accustomed to getting game by game.

This game will go down to the 4th QTR late and who ever has the ball driving will probably win.

WINNER: BEARS 27-24....as CUTLER makes a name for himself and Coach Lovie SMITH Takes the BEARS back for another try at the LOMBARDI Trophy his 2nd in 5 years.......can you say huge contract extension for Mr. Smith........oh about 3 years at the minimum.
