The Los Angeles LAKERS are going for a three-peat this season and for Head Coach Phil JACKSON it would be his fourth 3-peat which is unprecedented in any of the major sports.

But hold on, did anyone tell the LAKERS that their is an 82 game schedule to be played and it is semi-importatnt to finish in the top 2 so that you have home-court advantage through the first 2 rounds.

The LAKESHOW enetered Sundays battle with the Memphis GRIZZLIES at 23-10 and 8 games p in their own division but 6.5 games out of the best record in the WEST and in the NBA. Luckily for the LAKESHOW their divison has teams like the KINGS, SUNS, WARRIORS, and their neighbor, the CLIPPERS.

Having a lackluster effort Sunday night and losing to the GRIZ 104-85 is uncalled for and PHIL was quoted as saying, " WE WERE BEAT IN JUST ABOUT EVERY CATEGORY TONIGHT".

Look NBA Teams, especially Veteran ones, take the seaon at about 80-85% as far as effort. These teams are basically trying to conserve energy and minimize injuries for a deep run in the PLAYOFFS. Only problem for the LAKERS right now is that they need to get back to the basics and with KOBE aging he can't get you 40+ and bail the team out every night.

The LAKESHOW after the GRIZ Game are 6.5 behind the SPURS who look like the TEAM to beat right now in the WEST and the MAVS who are 3.5 up on the LAKERS but are going through key injuries right now to Dirk NOWITZKI and Caron BUTLER. I would suggest that the LAKERS get into another gear before they find themselves digging out of a deep hole and suffer in the PLAYOFFS because of the HOLE.

LAKESHOW'S January Schedule at a glance:

Out of 14 games 9 are home and 5 are away.....

@ STAPLES Center
pistons
hornets
knicks
cavs
nets
thunder
jazz
kings
green team

AWAY
suns
warrriors
clippers ******** a home game depending on who you talk to
mavs
nuggets

At a quick glance the only teams playing playoff type ball right now are KNICKS THUNDER JAZZ CELTICS and MAVS all other games are very winnable for the LAKESHOW

Let's see if the LAKERS can make a move in the WEST in JANAURY
