Every year the NFL Coaching Carousel makes its rounds and Job Performance is the KEY............Where did your team finish?.......Are they in the PLAYOFFS?........DID the PLAYERS play for you or quit on you?....and......Is it just time to part ways.

Those are some of the QUESTIONS Ownership and EXECS ask themselves when evaluating the Head Coach and his Staff. Let's take a closer look at who is gone or will be gone and why:

1. Eric MANGINI BROWNS: 10-22 two season record and with some new talent I think he could have kept his job had he not finished 0-4 in his last 4 games. To Mike HOLMGREN'S Credit he did give MANGINI and his staff another full season to correct themselves and it just wasn't enough. In most cases when teams get new Presidents they immediately change the STAFF and get their guy in there.

Is this a top job? All NFL Jobs are top jobs ...there are only 32 of these jobs right.

2. Marvin LEWIS BENGALS: Imagine that....two openings in the STATE of OHIO....the only job that isn't open and won't be anytime soon is the OHIO STATE Job. Marvins record with CINCY was 60-67-1 and 2 divison Titles and the only other teams with Division titles in that span are the RAVENS with 1 and the STEELERS with 7. I think Lewis is a helluva coch but coaching for MIKE BROWN is like working in a factory having a BULL**** top out pay....and nowhere else to go. If I were MARVIN I would have been gone yesterday after the game in Baltimore........LOOK....CINCY can't be FIXED....and they need to look at the QB Position real hard.

3. John FOX PANTHERS: 73-71 career with the PANTHERS....1 conference Championship and 2 Division Championships. A very good coach that will find employment real quick if he wants it. A logical place for FOX I think is CONCY and working with MIKE BROWN. FOXY doesn't seem like the kinda a guy that will step on any ones toes and a very good defensive mind.

4. Tom CABLE RAIDERS: 17-27 10 games under .500 and working for Al DAVIS...not bad considering the CIRCUS that goes on in OAKLAND. Should he be fired?...NO.......they were 6-0 in the division and 2-8 out of the division. But for the most part players responded to CABLE and the CULTURE is changing under him. This is an elite JOB depending on who wants it and gets it.

5. Jack DEL RIO JAGUARS: the JAGS head man was 65-63 and has no division or conference championships.......and a lot of that has to do with the COLTS and Peyton MANNING. They finished 8-8 and 0-3 in the last 3 when they could have takin' control of the division and got in the PLAYOFFS . He should be gone before WEDS and if he is still there that is not good for JAGS season ticket holders.

Out of all the JOBS that may open the San FRANCISCO 49ers JOB to me is the HOTTEST. Not because of all the TRADITION but mere talent on both sides of the ball and the following that the NINERS have from a Fan STANDPOINT. A perfect fit for the NINERS to me would be Ex-BUNGLES COACH Marvin LEWIS....he is the perfect match for their roster and UPSTAIRS Personnel.

******STAY TUNED ....THERE WILL BE MORE HIRINGS AND FIRINGS BEFORE FRIDAY
