After getting blown out on DECEMBER 6th in FOXBORO who would've thunk it that the NY FOOTBALL JETS would return for another trip to FOXBORO to FACE BRADY and the PATRIOTS.

This isn't a matchup of BELICHEK vs RYAN like the JETS Head Coach alluded to earlier in the wee...it's about the guys on the field and the game plan and scheme that the 2 teams have put together.

Not a lot will change over a course of a month in the NFL as far as what one team will do and the other team will do. Both the JETS and PATS know each other well enough to say we know what's coming ....can you stop it?

A little over 24 hours until game time we will know exactly what's happening as the JETS go through the media and the PATS just keep their mouths shut and wait for SUNDAY.

THE AFC Divisional Breakdown for SUNDAY'S Game:

SUNDAY JANUARY 16TH, 2011
430PM ET
GILLETTE STADIUM FOXBORO MASSACHUSETTS

NFL OFFENSIVE RANKINGS FOR THE GAME:

JETS

351.0 Total YPG
202.6 Pass YPG
148.4 Rush YPG
22.9 PPG
39.6% 3rd down conversion

PATRIOTS

363.8 Total YPG
240.4 Pass YPG
123.3 Rush YPG
32.4 PPG
48.2% 3rd down conversion

The 3 stats the stick out right away........the JETS Running Attack at almost 150 ypg is only 2nd to the KC Chiefs and if the JETS can run the ball effectively an keep BRADY and Company off the FIELD...the PATS will be in BIG TROUBLE.

The PATRIOTS on the other hand are averaging 32 plus points per game #1 in the NFL and an amazing 48 plus % conversion on 3rd downs. This tells the BLUEDUDE 2 things.....in the RED ZONE the PATS are MONEy and on 3rd down we are probably 3 rd and short a lot and we will move the chains all day to wear down your defense.

Something will have to give offensively...both team will not be effective on SUNDAY.

NFL DEFENSIVE Rankings for the Game:

JETS

291.5 Total YPG
200.6 Pass YPG
90.9 Rush YPG
19.0 Points allowed
37% 3rd down conversion

PATRIOTS

366.5 Total YPG
258.5 Pass YPG
108.0 Rush YPG
19.6 Points allowed
47.1% 3rd down conversion

The JETS have the Lockdown Corners but can they put a pass rush that must come up the middle to get Tom TERRIFIC. You know CORNERS are only as good as your pass rush...right. The BIGGEST flaw of the PATS is giving up 3rd down conversion at almost a 50% clip....if the NY Football JETS can get it on the ground......the PATS will be in a heap of Poodle BOMBS....for real....and you know what those look like.

After all the analysis it's just football....the JETS and PATS know what they have to do to neutralize each other and also be effective....it will be closer than you think.

WINNER: JETS 20-17......JETS put 175 yards on the ground
