Just like they handle their business on the court the San Antonio SPURS are quietly taking no prisoners as they are on pace to win 70 ball games. One would figure that the WEST was won back when he SEASON started as many predicted the HEAT and LAKERS as the BEST.

The SPURS have done it with core group Tony PARKER, Manu GINOBLI, and the AGELESS one Tim DINCAN. Mix them with a young no-name group lead by DeJAUN BLAIR, Matt BONNER, George HILL, and Gary NEAL.....WHO?....if you see the SPURS play anytime soon he is #14 consistently KNOCKING down open look after open look.

Maybe the BEST Organization in the NBA from top to bottom lead by Gregg "POPS" POPOVICH, the SPURS are a real factor for the LARRY O'BRIEN and the league, especially the WEST, is taking note.

The LAKESHOW are still going through struggles on a nightly basis but with a veteran laden team they are just priming themselves for that late spring early summer run to get to the PARADE in Downtown LA.

The BULLS have been a surprise due to the FACT that Center Joahkim NOAH has been out about 6 weeks and has at least 2-4 weeks to go in his rehab.

The GUYS in his place have done beyond the call of duty lead by DALLAS TEXAS Native Kurt "HORNED FROG" THOMAS. He and back-up Center Omir ASIK. They have held the CENTER Spot down while Carlos BOOZER has done his damage at the POWER FORWARD Spot. Add all that up with MVP-Candidate DERRICK ROSE they just might be in that upper echelon with the HEAT, CELTICS, and MAGIC.

the BLUEDUDE'S NBA Power RANKINGS 1-16 as of JANUARY 30th, 2011:

1. SPURS 40-7: The WEST'S Version of the BIG 3 and POPS quietly taking car of BIZ as they might be the team to beat

2. LAKESHOW 33-14: On cruise control and PHIL knows what button to push or what RING to look at for a reminder

3. GREEN TEAM 35-11: the best in the EAST will get tested on their current WEST COAST Swing

4. BULLS: 33-14: RED-HOT at home and POOH ROSE is carrying MAJOR WEIGHT along with DENG and BOOZER

5. HEAT 32-14: Can't stay in the WIN COLUMN with 2 of the 3 INJURED and Out.......nothing NEW to KING JAMES...didn't he play on a current 8-38 CLEVELAND Team last year?

6. MAVS 31-15: DIRK back in the Nick of Time........TERRY, KIDD, MARION, and BEREA must step up

7. ORLANDO 30-17: would be higher if it weren't for some strange Losses.....HOWARD is what he is though.......CLARK KENT....MUSIC PLEASE

8. THUNDER 30-16: DURANT and WESTBROOK 2-man game.......and the ever improving play of SERGE IBAKA in the PAINT

9. HORNETS 31-17: with CP3 and WEST at the CONTROLS will coast to a 4-5 seed in the WEST...ARIZA needs to get right

10. HAWKS 30-18: Something still missing.......No...NOT Home Crowds of 5K......but a FIRE PG.....Joe JOHNSON needs to play off the ball more

11. UTAH 28-19: SLOAN has a nice core of players under 28 in D WILL, JEFFERSON, MILSAP, and MILES

12. NUGGETS 28-18: the 'MELO Trade never went down....now what......move Mr. BIG SHOT to a contender PLEASE

13. KNICKS 24-22: Interesting to see if STAT can carry them through the All-STAR Break....GALLINARI and CHANDLER need to play BIG down the stretch

14. BLAZERS 25-22: ALDRIDGE is one of the BEST Kept SECRETS in the GAME...could be an All-STAR

15. GRIZZLIES 24-24: RUDY GAY, Young SPANIARD GASOL, and ZEBO RANDOLPH can get them in POST-SEASON PLAY

16. SIXERS 20-26: Don't Look NOW....COLLINS has Lou WILLIAMS and Djrue HOLIDAY playing for KEEPS...WHERE IS TOP # Pick Evan TURNER?......Can he play off the BALL?.........HMMMMMM

The ladder part of this group is always subject to change but you see the ASSOCIATION is becoming TOP HEAVY with the HAVES and the HAVE NOTS.

The MOST interesting Race will be in the EAST for the TOP 4 SPOTS and can the LAKESHOW catch the SPURS and POPS?

STAY TUNED...........
