The STEELERS knew all along who they were eventually going to have to play in the PLAYOFFS...and it wasn't TOM BRADY either......it's the BALTIMORE RAVENS and RAY LEWIS.

After the RAVENS made SLOW WORK of the Kansas City CHIEFS........they were also looking to play the STEELERS.......hey RAVENS.....Be careful what you wish for...seriously.

The 2 games this year in the regular season have been decided by a total of 6 points. With both teams winning on the opponents field.

Ravens QB Joe FLACCO trying to make a name for himself and you do that by winning in the playoffs and ultimately winning the Super Bowl......last time the BLUEDUDE looked ...the RING is the THING.......no doubt.

Big BEN Roethlisberger has yet to lose to the RAVENS in the PLAYOFFS and if it comes down to the STEELERS having to go down the field in the last minutes of the game...the RAVENS will be burn up.....ALREADY.

SATURDAY JANUARY 15, 2011
430PM ET

Both of these DEFENSES are TOP SHELF like a fine SPIRIT.....so let's look at the defensive numbers for the season:

RAVENS

318.9 total ypg given up
224.9 Pass YPG
93.9 Rush YPG

STEELERS

276.8 total ypg given up
214.1 Pass YPG
62.8 Rush YPG

The STEELERS almost lead in every Defensive Category and if the RAVENS do not establish the run with RICE and McGAHEE they will lose falling away. On the OTHER HAND the RAVENS Defense has looked up to snuff of late. A late season defensive lapse had the RAVENS looking uneasy and aging on Defense but they have found a way to round up the ponies and get it done in the last few weeks.

The STEELERS know they have to get WALLACE DEEP behind Ed REED and the RAVENS Secondary and use their young weapons of Sanders and Brown to give Big BEN more targets the RAVENS have to account for.

Offensively the TEAMS almost mirror each other with the STEELERS getting a slight edge in all 3 categories:

RAVENS
322.9 Total ypg
208.4 Pass YPG
114.4 Rush YPG

STEELERS
345.3 Total ypg
225.1 Pass YPG
120.3 Rush YPG

The Big Picture is this...can JOE FLACCO make enough plays downfield to offset the RAVENS running game and keep the STEELERS Linebackers at BAY?.........and can Big BEN move the BALL on the RAVENS at will with some new found weapons and a new beast of a running back in MENDENHALL?...Only time will tell but the winner will be the one who can impose their will on the other team first.

WINNER: STEELERS 27-10 as BEN and the O become too much for an aging RAVENS Defense
