It was a Hawks Clinic until the 3rd frame when the Wild in a Twin Cities Minute tied the score at 2-2. Then it was Show Time as Hawks Star Patrick Kane dba "Bison City Mullet" went, " There is no "I" in Team...but there is an "I" in Win".
With the score 2-2 and Hawks Nation feeling a little uneasy as those watching wearing Red and Black by now have had a few of their favorite Cool Spots was feeling a whole lot better after the work of "Kaner 88". Just a minute and a half after the Wild tied the score at 2-2 Kane goes through three Wild Defenders with a backhand only to serve up a backhand in passing to make the score 3-2. Then late in the 3rd as the Wild about to make their move Kane gets a redirect from Ben Smith to make it 4-2 as "Bicks" Bryan Bickell makes it 5-2 the final score on an empty netter.
The Hawks were in control until late in the 2nd when the Wild came with more energy and took more chances at the blue lines. They missed a lot of shots on net as Hawk Net Minder Crawford didn't even have to make a stab at most they were so off the 4 by 6. "Craw-Dad" stopped 30-32 shots while the Wild's Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 17 of 21 shots and he has to be better or the Wild will get run out the series.
