Both pitchers in the Redbirds Shelby Miller and the Braves Aaron Harang were dealing until the top half of the 5th inning when a Matt Carpenter two-bagger and a Matt Holliday Single score three Cardinal Runs to make it 3-0 Cards in the 5th. The Cards then added to that with another run as Peter Bourjos singles in a run.

The Braves struck in the bottom of the 6th scoring two runs on an Evan Gattis single and a B.J. Upton Sac-Fly to make it 4-2 Cards. Braves Second Baseman Ramiro Pena goes Solo Shot in the 7th to make it 4-3 Cards as that would hold as Trevor Rosenthal gets his 9th save for the Redbirds. Braves Aaron Harang took the loss going six allowing nine hits and four runs with a walk and six K's.
