Say it isn't so as the Oakland Athletics come into Arlington, Texas on Monday all tied up with the Rangers at 15-10 and leave 18-10 as the Rangers fall to 15-13 just like that. The Hump Day "Get Away Day" Game was no laughing matter as the A's beat up Texas 12-1 and that was by putting up a huge 7-run inning in the 3rd.

The Rangers Starter Robbie Ross Jr. went 3 1/3 innings giving up 10 runs on eleven hits (6 ER) as he walked one and struck out two. That 3rd inning was highlighted by four singles and two doubles as Oakland Second Baseman Eric Sogard went 2 for 4 with three ribbies. Seven Athletics had multi-hit games and Back Stop Derek Norris and First Baseman Albert Callaspo each had three hits in the day. Oakland pounded out some seventeen hits as all dozen runs were scored between the 3rd and 6th innings.

A's Starter Jesse Chavez went seven and allowed just one hit walking one and striking out eight Rangers Hitters.  The A's beat in order Darvish, Perez, and Ross Jr. in three straight chasing both Darvish and Ross Jr. before the 5th inning.

Rangers Pitching gave up 25 runs as the Athletics Staff gave up four runs...in the 3-Piece Series!
