The Toronto Raptors are still trying to find the right pieces that fit under fabulous GM and Nigerian-born Masai Ujiri. They made a move yesterday that puts them a few steps closer in that direction by giving Lithuanian "Big" Jonas Valanciunas (only 23 yrs old) a contract extension to keep him playing home games "North of the Border" through the 2019-20 season. A four-year $64.5 million extension for Big Jonas V. that will kick in in the 2016-17 season.

Valanciunas has been solid in his development over the past few season since being the #5 overall pick in the 2K11 NBA Draft. He was drafted to be in that core of players to help the Raptors one day take over the Atlantic Division and become one of the Eastern Conference Elite Squads. The Dinosaurs yes in the 2014-15 season ran away with the Atlantic but folded in round 1 of "Winning Time" and they must fix that.

The Lithuanian "Big" has showed signs that he one day soon will become one of the premier "Bigs" in the Logo as we check out his career numbers and 2014-15 Digits along with the #WeTheNorth projected Starters and Bench for the 2015-16 season.
