Everything was going well for Chicago Cubs starter Jon Lester on Saturday Night in Chavez Ravine vs the Dodgers. Lester had allowed just one run in the 3rd off the Ash, Maple, or Bamboo of Dodgers CF Enrique Hernandez as that tied the game at 1-1.

Cruising through six Lester took his game into the 7th with the Cubs leading 2-1 as Addison Russell scored on a "Balk" in the 5th as Dodgers starter Mat Latos did the honors.  Latos was solid as he goes 4 2/3 frames allowing just two runs on four hits with a No-Decision.

In the Dodgers four-run 7th frame it was a Carl Crawford single and steal that started things off. Then a A.J. Ellis single with Jose Peraza up with Ducks on the corners. His RBI Double scored Crawford tying the game at 2-2. Lester then gives up a two RBI single to Andre Ethier who has had some huge hits of late pushing the L.A. up 4-2 as that would end Lester's Night.

An A-Gon RBI single would push that Dodgers lead up to 5-2 and that would be the final. Lester takes the "L" going six falling to 8-10 as all five runs were put on his Tab! The Cubbies fall to 73-55 as the Dodgers move to 72-56. With the Gigantes losing 6-0 to the Redbirds both teams get help in the right direction.

Sunday's "Get Away Day" Game for the North Siders goes ESPN Sunday Night Hardball as we get Jake Arrieta vs Alex Wood...as Maddon Ball tries to stop the bleeding!
