Oakland Athletics Ace RHP Sonny Gray arrived at Camden Yards tonight for his start with a sparkling 2.06 ERA (3rd in the Show) and a 12-4 W-L. The Baltimore Orioles with bigger things to fry along with beating Gray is in the hunt  for the AL East and the AL Wild Card as Grays' Counterpart O's starter Chris Tillman delivered as did O's DH Steve Clevenger.

The Swingin' Elephants of Black Hole Hardball struck first in the 2nd on a Danny Valencia solo Blast that put the A's up 1-0. That lead lasted until the bottom half of the 4th when O's DH Steve Clevenger takes Gray deep for a three-run shot putting the O's up to stay at 3-1.

A's Mark Canha would get the A's closer in the 6th taking Tillman yard but the O's would answer in their half  on a Caleb Joseph RBI double moving the score to the final at 4-2. Tillman moves to 97 as he allows two runs over seven frames. Gray falls to 12-5 as he allowed all four runs in 5 2/3 as that three-run blast in the 4th did him and the A's in in this one.

The O's move to 61-56 as they are in the hunt in both the AL East and Wild Card. Oakland falling to 51-69 cannot get through the 162 in 2k15 fast enough as they are Mother's Honey Wheat Toast with Country Crock Butta and Smucker's Strawberry Preserves (yeah it's good) but this one is just toast!

Here comes "Showalter Ball" quietly through the back end of that 162 and beware 'Jays Nation and the Bronx Bombers as they are equipped to come right through the front door...
