The Chicago Cubs knew last night after leaving the park and a quick turnaround for the "Rubber Game" that San Francisco Giants Thursday starter Madison Bumgarner would be tough. They were right and the Gigantes finish the North Siders off taking two of three with the "Mad Bum" again in his comfort zone all game long!

Chicago opened the scoring in the 2nd as Starlin Castro went RBI double for a 1-0 lead scoring Anthony Rizzo little did they know that would be all the last time the Cubbies crossed the dish in this one. San Fran came right back in the bottom half of the same frame scoring on a Juan Perez double tying the game up at 1-1.

From that point on the Gigantes jumped on Cubbies starter Dan Haren in the 3rd putting up a crooked four as former Cubs OF Marlon Byrd would cap off the frame taking Haren for a three-run blast and a 4-1 Giants lead.

Then with the game in the bag in the 8th Giants second baseman Kelby Tomlinson would take Cubbies reliever James Russell with the sacks packed deep for a "Granny" that's right "Touch'em All" as the Gigantes would go onto win 9-1 going away.

The "Mad Bum" moves to 16-6 and more importantly the Giants stay close to both the NL West leading Dodgers and the 2nd place in the NL Wild Card these Chicago Cubs. Chicago falls to 73-53 as Haren falls to 8-9.
