The Los Angeles Dodgers trying to ad some distance between them and their NL West rival San Francisco Giants as they have a huge series coming up on Monday slides by the Chicago Cubs on Friday Night. The one common theme was Clayton Kershaw was starting and dealing as he readies himself for the stretch beating the North Sides 4-1.

@ClaytonKershh22 mows down some 14 Cubbies on his way to an 11-6 record and the only mistake he made all night was flattening out the "Express" with Cubs All-Star first baseman Anthony Rizzo sitting "Dead Red" for a 440 foot blast to center tying the game up at 1-1 in the 4th. That would be it for "Maddon Ball" as the Dodgers scored three in the 6th on Cubbies starter Jason Hammel as he was chased in the 6th.

Hammel's Tab was 5 frames and some change allowing three runs on four hits as he struck out five and walked three falling to 7-6. The Dodgers Captain Save-A-Game Kenley Jansen records his 26th save as Dodger Blue moves to 71-56. "Maddon Ball" falls to 73-54 and that is their 3rd loss in a row after starting the week off with a "W" on Tuesday Night versus the Gigantes!
