St. Louis Cardinals starter Michael Wacha didn't pitch all that bad after he gave up a bottom half of the 1st Grand Slam" the Giganets OF Marlon Byrd making it 4-0 San Fran after one. To the Redbirds credit they chipped away at Gigantes starter Mike Leake and slowly but surely tied the ball game up in the 6th on a Wild Pitch by Leake.

The Redbirds got on the board back in the 3rd down 4-0 on an RBI single by Yadier Molina and a two RBI double by Stephen Piscottty cutting that 4-0 deficit to 4-3. Neither starter was around for the decision as Matheny Hardball and Bochy Magic then went to the October Hardball Chess Board to finish the game and Bochy came out on top.

Both Pens were excellent as Wacha went out after six and Leake went into the 7th as the score remained 4-4 until the bottom half of the 9th. Redbirds reliever Kevin Siegrist allowed a lead-off single by Brandon Belt and walked Buster Posey as Ducks were on the pond at 1st and 2nd. Byrd then flied out making it 1st and 2nd with one out. They walked Gregor Blanco to get to Kelby Tomlinson to set up maybe an Inning Ending double-play.

Tomlinson had different ideas as he took Siegrist's 2-2 offering to center for the Walk-Off and a Giants "W" as they move to 69-59 and stays on pace with both the Dodgers and Cubs. The Redbirds fall to 82-46 as their 4-game win streak is snapped. Something tells me these two will somehow and someway be locking horns as we approach Halloween 2K15...just sayin'!
