The Tampa Bay Rays starting the day still in the hunt for both the AL East Title and AL Wild Card shuts down the down and almost out Atlanta Braves Bunch 2-0 in Tampa. It was Rays starter Erasmo Ramirez who did the honors going seven shutout frames allowing five hits and striking out four.

The Rays scored in the 7th breaking open a scoreless affair on a Kevin Kiermaier two-run blast making it the final score of 2-0. Braves County's starter Williams Perez had matched Ramirez through six throwing his own gem until Kiermaier's blast in the 7th. Perez takes the "L" falling to 4-3 as he allowed just four hits and two runs through eight.

Ramirez (moving to 9-4 in 2015) helps the Rays stay on track and above the .500 mark at 57-56 just 5.5 games back of AL Leader the Bronx Bombers...
