The Chicago Cubs newly-acquired RHP Dan Haren didn't pitch all that bad but didn't stick around for the decision. The Pirates starter Jeff Locke didn't fare all too well either as it came down to the Pens and the Buccos Pen was better and is better with Captain Save-A-Game Mark Melancon recording his 34th save.

With the score 4-1 in the top of the 6th in the Pirates favor Cubs Hitters Kyle Schwarber (2-run HR) and Anthony Rizzo (Solo HR) both take Locke deep for bombs tying the game up at 4-4. The Buccos a mark of an October playing bunch came right back in the bottom half of the same inning scoring two moving the lead up to 6-4 Pirates.

Cubs middle man Travis Wood gets two tires flat as he goes a 1/3 of a frame giving up three runs on two hits as he is saddled with he "L"!

Both teams would add a run apiece but the Buccos behind Melancon would grab victory moving to 62-44. The Cubbies falling to 58-48 will entertain the Gigantes for four at Wrigley. The Bucs get the L.A. Dodgers for three starting Friday at PNC.

Here we go as the Plot thickens on the Senior Circuit...stay tuned!
