Are you kidding me the Kansas City Royals are doing the improbable as they finish off the Orioles in the 2K14 ALCS 2-1. It was the Royals scoring two in the bottom half of the 1st that propelled them to their first fall classic and AL Pennant since 1985. Both Alcides Escobar and Nori Aoki scored on the errant throw by O's first baseman Steve Pearce to back stop Caleb Jospeh.

It was Royals starter Jason Vargas going 5 1/3 frames allowing a run on a John Flaherty solo Bomb in the 3rd that set the stage for Kansas City Hardball. The Royals Pen  then picked it up from there throwing 3 2/3 scoreless innings capped off #BeRoyalKC captain save-a-game Greg Holland's somewhat adventurous ninth.

The Orioles were expecting a fight but didn't expect to run into a machine that has yet to lose in the postseason going 8-0 through today's game. The Royals have beaten the two best on the junior circuit talking 2014 wins and losses in the Halos now O's.

O's starter Miguel Gonzalez kept Bird Land USA in the game going five plus frames allowing those two runs in the first walking and striking out four. Charm City Hardball could only generate four hits and the Royal pitching has been above and beyond the call of duty since the postseason started!

Now K.C. will await the winner of the Redbirds and Gigantes series on the senior circuit as it's real close to being a repeat of the 1985 fall classic featuring the Royals and Redbirds with K.C. winning in seven!
