Forget what the Notre Dame Fighting Irish looked like leading up to their game against Florida State on Saturday night. The Irish showed they are a legit top 10 team as they dominated the 1st half and some of the 2nd half only to lose in the waning seconds on what was deemed as a "Pick Play" which was the right call!

Before the infamous "Pick Play" the Irish playing smash mouth football surprisingly controlled both lines of scrimmage. They dominated the 'Noles defensive line with a myriad of run and pas plays with quick reads. They also gave the 'Noles o-line fits with a variety of different looks. All that worked in the 1st half as the Irish led 17-10 at the break.

Irish QB Everett Golson was magnificent all night long throwing for some 313 yards on 31 of 52 with three TD's and two INT's. His escapability for the most part all night kept those fleet-footed 'Noles defensive players off-balance. Irish RB Tarean Folston ran for 120 yards on 21 carries as he looked like Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen and move over Santa Claus.

It was former NBA Star and HOF David Robinson's son in sophomore Corey Robinson who stole the show catching eight Pigskins for 99 yards and two TD's. The last play was to him as he lined up right off the tight end in a "Trips Right" Set and just ran out to to boundary as the 'Noles defender was picked off by the middle Notre Dame WR. The play was called back rightfully so as the Notre Dame player should have came off the line running a route trying to split both and they probably wouldn't have called.

"Noles QB Jameis Winston was on fire in the 2nd half throwing for 15 of 16 for 182 yards and a TD all in the 2nd half. He ended up with 273 yards on 23 for 31 and 2 TD's and an INT. All-AMerican WR Rashad Greene for FSU caught 8 igs for 108 yards and a score as he showed why he and 'Bama WR Amari Cooper are the best WR's in college football. The 'Noles escape after running for just 50 net yards. The Irish out gained the 'Noles 470 to 323 as they won across the board except the only board that counts...the scoreboard.

FSU moves to 7-0 and 4-0 in the ACC as the Irish falls to 6-1 and 0-1 in the ACC...
