The Chicago Blackhawks could not stop former Team Happy Feet left winger James Neal as he goes "Hats on Ice" on the Hawks as the Preds beat the Indian Head 3-2. The show also belonged to Preds net minder Pekka Rinne of Finland who stopped 30 of 32 shots on the night including a few from his blind spot in the 3rd frame.

The Hawks opened up the scoring ion period one behind a goal by Ben Smith only for the Preds Neal to strike with 48 seconds remaining in the 1st to tie the score 1-1. Hawks net minder Antti Raanta halted 24 of 27 shots who just could not get an "APB" out on Neal.

Neal then scored with just under four minutes left in the 2nd to make it 2-1 Preds. In the 3rd nearly two minutes #18 sent the Preds faithful back to the Preds teams store for Lids as he strikes again for the Hat Trick.

Hawks Andrew Shaw scored on a ricochet off the board to himself and just under a high-stick hit the frozen one out of the air to beat Rinne to make it 3-2 Preds with just under seven minutes to go. The Hawks onslaught of shots late could not get past Renne and they lose 3-2 suffering loss #1 of the 2014-15 season.

There were three penalties in this one and the Hawks had two of them but no power play goals. The Indian Head out shot the Preds 32-27 including 17-6 in the 3rd as they only get one goal out of those seventeen shots.

Hawks move to 4-1-1 with 9 points as they head to St. Louis for a Saturday Night tilt.  The Preds move to 5-0-2 leading the central with 12 points.
