The Brooklyn Nets made a big splash on the coaching carousel nabbing former "Grind House" leader Lionel Hollins to replace Jason Kidd who left after one season which was ideal for both parties involved.

Moving forward the Nets are ready to make a run at the Atlantic division. As long as Deron Williams is healthy and they can play him off the Spalding orange to score more. Joe Johnson of Jordan Brand is the Calm before the storm as he is lethal in winning time when "clutch" enters the fray and needs to be "clutch"!

K.G. is back but at this juncture in time he needs All-Star Brooks Lopez to stay healthy and if Brook is Brook the Nets will hold down the #3 slot but can they get the #2 or #1 slot is the question?

#FLATBUSHProHoops 2014-15 Vitals

Franchise Piece (s): D-Will, J.J., Brooks Lopez

Building Blocks: Jarrett Jack, Mirza Teletovic, Mason Plumlee, Alan Anderson,

Top Metro Card Carrier (BK Nets top rookie): Markel Brown

Top Free Agent: Jarrett Jack

Sleeper Player: Markel Brown if he can carve out a niche for himself in that back court and he is a Nerf Rim type guard wit Range and can be a lock down defender an excellent pick for the Nets as they try and get younger in the back court.

Trade Piece (s): They really don't have much teams want and D-Will or JJ will be moved so they are in a holding pattern talking trade pieces!

#FLATBUSHProHoops 2014-15 Outlook 3rd in the Atlantic

The Nets will run on their back court in wing as D-Will and Joe Johnson are the core of this Nets Team as they have been since landing. They picked up well-traveled PG Jarrett Jack and that was huge as they now can move D-Will off the orange. If rook Markel Brown gets up to speed lookout as former Bulls 1st rounder Marquis Teague Lights have not come on yet and time is running out.

Joe Johnson holds down the shooting guard slot and he is all of that a tough cover at 6-7 and north of 230 el bees he is a load with a handle like Kyrie and D-Rose real talk. Alan Anderson gives them a defensive presence at the SG and he can knock down the money ball.

The front line is led by Brooks Lopez as he comes off foot surgery from the 2013-14 season. Garnett will add depth and Mirza Teletovic can shoot it with the best of them. Mason "Plums" Plumlee will play a heavy role as he will most likely log the most minutes on that front line in 2014-15.

Travis Outlaw still in the Logo and he can shoot it as well as the Nets have no real small forward and look for Joe Johnson to fill that role when they go small. Andrei Kirilenko dba "AK 47" can still guard as his offense is predicated on stand still shots in the offense and eating glass.

Can the Nets with a heavy veteran presence secure the 3rd slot in the Atlantic and fight to beat the Knicks and Raptors for Atlantic division supremacy.
