The Denver Broncos knew getting the "W" was important as anything on Sunday Night. What they also knew they had to get Peyton Manning his NFL Record 509th TD and that is a lot going on playing a team like the San Francisco 49ers.
What we found out after Manning gets the record and the Broncos smash the 49ers 42-17 is that Manning still has it. The Broncos "D" is solid with bookends Von Miller and future NFL HOF DeMarcus Ware. Lastly the Forty Niners have work to do but will get some much-needed help in the coming weeks talking players.
Manning threw for 318 unassuming yards on a cool, calm, and collected 22 for 26 with four TD's and no INT's. Broncos RB's Ronnie Hillman and Juwan Thompson combined to get 104 yards on just 20 carries and that wasn't just window dressing. WR Demaryius Thomas grabbed eight pigs for 171 yards and two scores including the record 509th.
The 49ers need to get back to running the Wilson pigskin and dominating in the trenches on both sides of the pig. RB's Frank Gore and rook Carlos Hyde combined for just 35 yards on a dozen carries with QB Kaepernick adding 18 yards on three carries. Kaepernick also threw for 263 yards on 24 for 39 and a TD and an INT.
The Broncos move to 5-1 and control of the AFC west as the Chargers lost and the Bolts coming ion on a short week. The Niners move to 4-3 and have some work to do as the Bird Gang Cardinals have a two game lead on both the 9ers and Seahawks.
