The Detroit Lions come into NFL week 8 riding the wave of not MEGAtron but free agent pick up WR Golden Tate of 12's. Both Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush have been nursing ankle sprains and the load has shifted to the likes of Tate and RB Joique Bell. The Lions though are also running on that defensive front of Nick Fairley and Donkey Kong Suh.

The Falcons with so much promise coming off the hit HBO Sports series "Hard Knocks" have been anything but hard knocking folks out. At 2-5 and both the offense and defense plying in disarray and might be time for GM Thomas Dimitroff to make that change. The Falcons are running on fumes and they must avoid a 2-6 start as no one is running away with the NFC south..no one!

vs

#RiseUpFalcons ATLANTA (2-5)

from
Wembley Stadium in London, England

Game Outlook:

The Lions must attack the Falcons front with a heavy dose of RB Joique Bell. The Falcons have struggled on both sides of the pig and nothing tells me in this that the struggles will cease. WR Tate has been making "Splash Play" after "Splash Play" and the Falcons with no MEGAtron has to roll coverage to Tate and let someone else beat them.

The Falcons need more touches from Quizz Rodgers and Vonta Freeman and Antone Smith every time he touches it its to the house. QB Matt Ryan cannot throw the pig if he is not clean. That Falcons o-line has struggled and they have their work cut out for them facing Fairley and Suh.

Falcons WR Julio Jones has the falcons #6 in the NFL in passing. They are 12th in scoring the problem is they are 30th on defense giving up 30 ppg and 412 yards per. The Lions though are not scoring in bunches ranked 25th at 20 ppg. It's the Lions "D" #1 yards per giving up just 290 yards. They are also 2nd in ppg with 15 and the Falcons need to solve this "D".

Winner: Lions 23-9
