"FALL SATURDAY'S" Week 8 Recap
SEC/Big 12
BAYLOR 27 W. VIRGINIA 41 F
The Baylor Bears stared of well but ended with a thump in Morgantown, West Virginia. The Mountaineers behind former Florida State Seminoles QB Clint Trickett went on a 34-14 run after trailing 13-7 after period one. Trickett threw for 322 yards and three TD's with his #WR Kevin White grabbing eight pigs for 132 yards and two TDs. Bears star QB Bryce Petty threw for just 223 yards on 16 for 36 as the Bears suffer loss #1 of 2014.
TEXAS A&M 0 ALABAMA 59 F
If Aggies lead man Kevin Sumlin doesn't get his "D" figured out fast they might move the Aggies back to the defunct old Southwest Conference. 'Bama QB Blake Sims threw for 268 yards and three TD's. Roll Tide RB TJ Yeldon ran for 114 yards on just 13 carries for a 8.8 yards per tote average and two TD's. 'Bama WR Amari Cooper hauled in 8 pigs for 140 yards and two TD's as the Tide rolled up some 602 yards of total blades of grass.
KANSAS ST. 31 OKLAHOMA 30 F
Someone tell me when Bobby Stoops is to take his NFL Gig as that Boomer Sooner job is dunzo. A win over a average at best Longhorns team is sandwiched in between losses to TCU and now K-State and lead man Bill Snyder.
The game came to a snail's pace in the 2nd half after K-State led 21-17 at the break. Sooner QB Trevor Knight had a day throwing for 318 yards as Sooner WR Sterling Shephard caught 15 pigs for 197 yds and a score.
K-State more balanced as QB Jake Waters passed for 225 yards and ran for another 51 yards. Those two Oklahoma turnovers spelled gloom and doom for the Sooners as K-State moves to 3-0 in Big 12 play and the Sooners to 2-2.
