The Cincinnati Reds are trying to get to that elusive .500 mark in the NL Central to stay close to both the Cards and Brew Crew. The Phils' are just trying to stay respectable as they are ten games under in the NL East.

The Ball was fling at Great American Ballpark as it always does in that Summer Heat. The Reds get a run in each of the first two innings and the Phils' get a Two-Run Blast from Marlon Byrd to make it 2-2 at the end of two. The Red Legs then add two in the 4th and 5th as Red Legs OF Jay Bruce goes to-run HR in the 5th to make it 6-2 Red Legs. Cincy Starter Alfredo Simon gets the "W" after leading 6-2 as he allows two runs on the Byrd HR and another in the 6th on a Carlos Ruiz Solo Blast on seven hits as he struck out three moving to 8-3 in 2014.

The Phils' made a run late scoring two more on a J-Roll two-run Bomb to make it 6-5 and that was the final score. "Phils Starter Roberto Hernandez was chased after going four allowing four runs on four hits and walking three. Red Legs Captain Save-A-Game Aroldis Chapman gets his 8th save. Cincy moves to 28-32 while the 'Phils fall to 25-35...
