As we sit hear reading Bluedude Sportstalk the One-Man Blog doing what the Bluedude does for Sports Fans all over the Globe for the free...the Pirates and Cubbies get a Three-Piece at the friendly Confines of Wrigley Field. The Cubs strike in Game 1 as North Siders Starter Edwin "E-Jack" Jackson grabs the "W" as the Cubbies Pen again delivers big!

Behind Cubs Shortstop Starlin Castro going HR Derby the Cubbies put up five in the 3rd and another run in the 5th complements of Castro. He goes Three-Run Bomb off of Buccos Starter Charlie Morton (6 IP 8 H 6 R 6 ER 2 BB 6 SO 2 HR) to highlight the five-run 3rd Innings and a Solo Bomb in the 5th as the Cubs went up 6-3 at that point. The Buccos Offense was led by a Three-Run Blast from Jordy Mercer but that was it off Jackson.

"E-Jack" gives up three runs on five hits through five as he struck out eight. Cubs Left Fielder Chris Coghlan went 2 for 3 scoring two runs as the North Siders move to 31-40 with the Buccos falling to 35-38.
