The game was pitted as the Winner gets a leg up in Group C and that is exactly what transpired on Thursday night in Brazil. No one scored in the 1st half and the it was locked down in the 2nd until the Colombians got a chance and James Rodriguez didn't miss as he scored in the 64th minute to make it 1-0 Colombia with a a lot of soccer still left in this one.

Then in the 70th minute the Ivory Coast makes a horrible mistake at midfield and the Colombians capitalize as Juan Quintero strikes to make it 2-0 Colombians and the celebration ensued as it looked like, appeared like, and most likely felt like a Colombian Home Game.

The Ivory Coast though with no quit gets right back in it in the 73rd Minute as Midfielder Gervinho scores pulling the lead closer to 2-1 Colombians. That would be the final score as the Colombians move to 6 points and to the Round of 16. The Ivory Coast not all the way done needs the Japanese to lose and if the Japan wins or draws the Ivory Coast is eliminated.

Ivory Coast out shot the Colombians 15-11 and possessed the Ball 56% to 44% but could not find more than one goal.
