NATIONALS 1 CARDINALS 4 F...REDBIRDS give STRASBURG an "L" but not after Cards ADAMS takes him DEEP in the 7th to beak up a tie..."A CUP of JOE in the SHOW Report" REDBIRDS beat the NATS again as ADAMS again is the Hero #WSHvsSTL

The Washington Nationals will look back even if they get Sunday's Game and say Redbirds "Michelin Man" Matt Adams beat us twice going Yard in that series! Both Starter Nats Stephen Strasburg and the Cardinals Shelby Miller were cruising in this one.

Miller gave up his only run in the 1st behind a Jayson Werth Two-Bagger to score Anthony Rendon to make it 1-0. Strasburg gave up his early run in the 3rd behind a Shelby Miller Double and a Matt Carpenter Single to tie the score up at 1-1. Miller went on to go 6 2/3 innings allowing four hits while striking out seven and walking four. Things were a little more complicated for Strasburg.

The Nats let Stars start the 7th inning and it was lead-off man of the 7th Matt Adams who took Stars Yard for a Cardinals 2-1 lead. Stras then exited after a Jon Jay single ended his day down 2-1. The Cards get two more ruins off Nats Pitching as Redbirds Captain Save-A-Game Trevor Rosenthal gets his 19th save and a 4-1 Redbirds win!

The Redbirds move to 36-32 just 4.5 games behind the "Brew Crew". The Nats fall to 35-32 just a 1.2 game back of Braves Country.  Redbirds go for the Three-Piece Sweep on Sunday...Father's Day 2k14!
