The Oakland Athletics move to 44-27 the best W-L in the Show passing the struggling San Francisco Giants as they beat their AL West rival the Texas Rangers. It was Ace Sonny Gray that gets some early help and defeats the Texas to keep the 2nd place Halos at bay.

The A's scored two in the 3rd to open the scoring behind a John Jaso Two-Bagger and a Josh Donaldson Single to make it 2-0 Athletics. The Rangers came right back in the 5th with runners at 2nd and 3rd as Shin-Soo Choo delivers a seeing-eye single to score Rouned Odor and Leonys Martin to tie the score at 2-2. Only for the A's to jump right back inn the saddle in the bottom of the Inning as Brandon Moss RBI-Double and a Stephen Vogt Sac-Fly makes it 4-2 and that would be the final score.

Back to Gray as his Tab read two runs on six hits through seven innings as he struck out seven. Rangers Starter Nick Tepesch allowed nine hits and four runs off those hits through five as he takes the loss. The Rangers  leave East Bay Hardball at two game sunder the .500 mark at 35-37 and nine games out of first in the AL West.
