LeBron had 17 of the Heat's 29 1st frame points as Team Repeat had a 29-22 1st frame lead. Then the Spurs kicked in as they went on a 21-7 run at the nine minute mark and led at the break 47-40 and that was your ball game.
To start the 2nd half the Spurs went on a 23-9 run to the three minute mark and led 70-49 as the Heat looked at the Corner Man and he wanted to throw in the towel. Too much Spurs "We Ball" vs a Heat Team that was the best in a watered down Eastern Conference. The Spurs were +15 from the Arc, had just eight turnovers, and shot nearly 50% from the field. Kawhi Leonard continued his stellar play with 22 points and ten rebounds with Manu Ginoboli adding 19 points as those two were huge difference-makers in the series.
The Heat go down 4-1 as King James had 31 points and ten boards and 20 of that 31 in the 1st half. Both Wade and Bosh were a shell of themselves in the Series and the Spurs had a lot to do with that. The Heat Point Guards Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole stunk the joint up as they were clearly outplayed but not only TP9 but Patty Mills and even Corey Joseph when he came in. The Heat yes have some work to do so does 28 other Teams as there can only be one!
Congrats to the 2013-14 San Antonio Spurs NBA World Champions and the Spurs Family and Spurs Nation....more on the Series at Bluedude Sportstalk on Monday June 16th!
